Permanent Floatation Barrier (Boom)
The Permanent Floatation Barrier (PFB) is a spill containment system designed to prevent harmful pollutants
from entering harbours, rivers and creeks. Manufactured from heavy duty,
chemically and UV resistant XR5, the PFB is hard wearing and is suitable
for a wide range of applications. XR5 is a tough composite fabric of woven
polyester that has been molecularly coated to minimise degradation thus
making the PFB ideal for long-term deployment. If required the PFB can be
manufactured with a silt curtain to prevent suspended sediments from moving
downstream. The PFB spill containment system is extremely popular with local councils as gross pollutant
traps installed around stormwater drains. |
